Witching Chronicles: Exploring The RHINO’s Human Farm

In the sulfuric crucible of Catania, beneath the shadow of Mount Etna, Rhino emerges as a force of sonic alchemy. With their latest opus, “Human Farm,” this quintet unearths a profound synthesis of stoner and desert rock from the ’90s and 2000s, fused with the mystique of ’70s psychedelia. In this kaleidoscopic journey through riff-driven landscapes and electrifying atmospheres, Rhino sculpts mountains of sound, forging an auditory pilgrimage unlike any other.

Formed in 2012 by bassist Frank The Door and guitarist Red Frank, Rhino’s genesis was marked by an unyielding commitment to sonic exploration. Joined by the thunderous percussion of Lord J. Frank, and later enriched by the incandescent vocals of Frank the Doc and the searing guitar of Frank Real Tube, Rhino solidified into a quintet bound by their shared devotion to sonic transcendence.

Building upon the foundations laid by their self-titled EP and their debut full-length release, “The Law of Purity,” Rhino’s latest offering is a sonic curtain that unfolds with the precision of a master craftsman. Released through Argonauta Records, this album represents the culmination of years spent honing their craft, resulting in a work that stands as a monolith of creativity.

From the opening salvo of the first track, “Agony & Madness,” Rhino invites the listener into a sonic vortex, where walls of fuzz collide with ethereal melodies, and hypnotic rhythms pulse with primal energy. “Human Farm” showcases Rhino’s ability to weave intricate sonic textures, transporting the listener to vast, otherworldly landscapes where time stands still and the boundaries of reality blur.

In a musical landscape cluttered with imitation and mediocrity, Rhino stands as a beacon of originality – a testament to the transformative power of music when wielded by true artisans.

With this magnum opus, Rhino cements their status on the stoner rock scene, leaving an indelible mark on the musical landscape that will resonate for years to come.
